The trusted Australian Barramundi

Humpty Doo Barramundi is proud to be acknowledged as the 600th company to be accredited as an Australian Trusted Trader.

Australian Trusted Trader is administered by Australian Border Force. Australian businesses with compliant trade practices and secure supply chains are audited under the program which streamlines customs processes with important trading partner countries.

“While Humpty Doo Barramundi does not export large volumes of Barramundi at present, being an Australian Trusted Trader removes much of the red tape associated with exporting products and gets them to market faster,” says Chief Executive Officer Dan Richards (pictured here with Santha Nakandage, Humpty Doo Barramundi’s Sales Manager NT&WA and Carolyn Keily Director of the Trusted Trader program at Australian Border Force). “This is essential for perishable products like fresh fish.”

Australian Border Force have independently reviewed Humpty Doo Barramundi’s supply chain processes and have confidence that the business can satisfy World Customs Organisation standards http://www.wcoomd.org/.

“As a trusted trader we have been assessed as meeting the customs requirements of partner countries,” says Mr Richards. “That means while we are an accredited Australian Trusted Trader, our processes don’t have to be re-examined every time we export.”

Application to be recognised as an Australian Trusted Trader is free and open to exporters, importers and other businesses active int eh international supply chain. As well as reducing red tape, being an Australian Trusted Trader brings other benefits such as a dedicated account manager, priority processing and a ‘voice’ with the Australian Government at industry-level discussions.
