Best Aquaculture Practices

Best Aquaculture Practices (BAP) is recognised globally as a symbol of high standards of environmental responsibility, social responsibility, food safety, animal welfare and traceability. Humpty Doo Barramundi achieved BAP certification in 2017, the first aquaculture facility in the Northern Territory to achieve this certification.  

Consumers and retailers expect transparency and high standards of food production. Our holistic commitment to environmental, animal, employee and consumer health and safety are re-affirmed through BAP’s comprehensive third-party audited procedures.

SEDEX

Sedex is one of the world’s leading ethical trade service providers, working to improve working conditions in global supply chains. As a Sedex member, Humpty Doo Barramundi's commitment social, environmental and ethical sustainability is recognised in this globally-recognised standard. 

Australian Sustainably Farmed Barramundi

In 2014 we became one of the first Australian Barramundi farms to be accredited under the Australian Barramundi Farmers' Association's sustainability program.

HACCP

Hazard Analysis at Critical Control Points is a food safety management program which assesses and analyses food safety for facilities handling food for human consumption. We place a high importance on ensuring our packing facility is safe and hygienic for our Barramundi and our team, to ensure you enjoy premium quality Humpty Doo Barramundi.

Australian Border Force have independently reviewed Humpty Doo Barramundi’s supply chain processes and have confidence that the business can satisfy World Customs Organisation standards.
