Bigger nursery for more baby barra
Our new nursery construction project is almost complete, with the first batch of fingerlings arriving in late November.
“The new nursery will accommodate approximately 300,000 fingerlings per batch, enabling us to meet the demand for the highest quality Australian plate sized and baby barramundi,” says Humpty Doo Barramundi’s General Manager Dan Richards. “These fingerlings will be ready for harvest after this summer.”
The demand for Australian barramundi is continuing to increase, as more restaurants add plate-sized barramundi to their menus. The new nursery will allow us to increase supplies of our premium quality, salt water barramundi to meet our customers’ requirements.
Humpty Doo Barramundi keeps an open conversation with our customers, enabling us to work with their needs and projections for their business.
